The First Station - The Tomb is Empty
Reader 1: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
All: It is right to give God thanks and praise.

Reader 2:
In the morning early, the women came to the tomb.
“He is not here,” they were told.
They could see it was true
Reader 3:
the sun lifted darkness from the land, another morning.
A blocking stone had moved.
The tomb was open and empty.
All:
We thank you dear God for all of your mighty acts.
We pray, good Lord, for sight. We pray to see You.
Reader 2:
Spirit of God, you are present within us,
your dwelling place and home.
All:We thank you for your light by which we see.

Reader 1: Rejoice, my friends, Christ is risen.
All: Rejoice, dear friends, the Lord is risen indeed. Alleluia.
“Ubi caritas”
Ubi caritas et amor, ubi caritas Deus ibi est.
Translation: Where true charity and love abide, God is there.
