Stations of the Resurrection

A Resurrection Journey

Through Stations of the Cross, many Christians have felt the power

of Christs passion which led to Resurrection.

Now we extend that journey

by exploring Stations of the Resurrection.

These reflections can be used for corporate worship

or serve private devotion.  They might be modified

by substituting other stations or writing other texts.

Music and art can be added in various ways as well.

Individuals might wish to insert their own incarnational, crucificional, and resurrectional events, perhaps as derived from the Lenten retreat led by The Rev. Jonathan Bryan at St. Paul’s on the Hill, March 21, 2009.

These reflections draw inspiration from this retreat and from The Song of a Silent Stone created by Fr. Mark Delay, Cistercian monk of Our Lady of the Holy Cross Abbey at Berryville, Virginia, and from Stations of the Resurrection by Raymond Chapman.

An earlier version was done at St. Adian’s Episcopal Church, Alexandria Virginia, Eastertide 2000.

This journey visits places of Resurrection

across two millennia and celebrates the real presence

of our God among us, and with us.
